Honda Accord

Are you looking for a 2010 Honda Accord?

Q: How much does a new starter cost for a 98 honda accord coupe?
Hey, i have a Honda Accord Coupe 1998. I need to replace my starter but the guy hasn’t called back with an estimate yet and i’m trying to see the range of price i’m looking at, any help? Thanks.

A: See if you can get someone to do it and buy one from Autozone

Q: What are the best tires for a Honda accord for under $100 a piece?
I have a Honda Accord and I need 4 new tires. Money is a bit tight right now so I don’t want to spend too much. Can anyone reccommend some tires around or under the 100$ range that are a good value in regards to tread wear, handling and comfort.
My car has a V6 engine and its mostly city driving with about 35% highway driving.

A: To find the best tires for your car, look at the sidewalls and find the tire size. It should be something like 205/60-16 (I’m guessing the year of your car. That’s for a 2002) If you want to change sizes, use the size you chose.

Go to the Tire Rack at:

http://www.tirerack.com/

Enter your car make, year, and model in Box #1, check to make sure the tire size is right, and then follow the menus.

If you are changing sizes, then skip the car input and go directly to ‘Tires.’

If you don’t input any preferences (click ‘proceed to results’), it will give you every tire they carry in that size. Don’t worry about speed range — they’ll select that for you. You can sort in order of price and check the box by the ones in your price range.

Then click on ‘compare selected tires’ and it will show all the tires you selected arrayed left to right, with their ratings in various categories listed below.

Find the highest numbers in the categories you care about, and that’s your tire.

I looked up the 2002 Accord V6 and of the 205/60-16’s they list, the Yokohama AVID H4S would be my choice at $74 each. I have these on my wife’s and daughter’s cars.

Q: Honda accord?
My 91 accord starts to shake at 50mph and above preventing me to go any faster the green “s” box flashes indicating possible transmission issues but it runs fine until I hit 50mph or above the spring has been cut to lower car but I have no idea what this may be. Thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!

A: first off people buy honda’s because they think they are saving money by getting good gas mileage but in reality they are not even though a honda gets 40mpg you are still paying 5 dollars a gallon the reason ur car is messing up is that it is a honda and the only kind of truck, car, vehicle to own is a chevy

Q: How much to Tint my windows for honda accord 08?
I just want to know how much would it be if i get my 2008 honda accord tinted (the whole car) . Just give me estimate for a cheap tint and a good tint job.

A: 100 bucks and up so make a few calls or do it your self.. make a few phone calls to find a good price

Q: Where can I find seats for my honda accord 91 ?
I own a honda accord 91′ my seats are not in the best shape and I would like to buy new ones but I can’t find a wesite or anything where they sell seats for cars…If anyone knows please help!!Thank You!

A: It would probably cost less to have them recovered rather than but new seats.

Q: What maintenance should I do to my Honda Accord?
I have a 2000 Honda Accord that I’ve had since ‘99. Other than the usual maintenance (oil changes) I wanted to know if there was something else I should do to the car to keep it in good condition. I plan to keep it for a few more years and want to make sure it stays in good working order.

A: Your doing good so far you should have the transmission serviced at 100,000 miles the o2 sensor at 100,000 the air filter at every 3rd oil change unless where you drive is dusty or dirty then it needs to be changed a little more often but other than that you are doing good

Q: 1997 Honda Accord coupe steering making grinding noises when I turn the wheel?
I have a 1997 Honda Accord coupe, and when I turn the wheel it makes grinding noises when I almost hit the lock (end) of how far I can turn (example is making a u-turn). No problems turning the wheel, and the power steering fluid reserve is full.

A: if the noise happens when the car is moving then you’re hitting theh wheel stop that prevent the wheel from rotating around. typically the wheel stop looks like the back of a cupped hand and its located on the lower control arm that comes off the strut. smear some grease on it and that will probably eliminate the noise.

on some cars the noise is from the strut bearing on top. the strut bearing is located on the top of the strut tower. You can hear that noise if you stand on the side of the car with the hood open and then have someone turn the wheel until the noise comes in. the car doesn’t need to be moving to hear a bad strut bearing.

lastly, check the belt tension for the power steering belt as the belt may be slipping under the load of a full turn

hope that helps

Q: How much does it cost to replace a timing belt on a Honda Accord 2001?
Honda did a check up on my car (2001 Honda Accord) and they said my timing belt needs to be replaced for $2,000. My car has 110,000 miles. How much should it cost to be replaced? $2,000 seems like a rip off to me.

A: What engine?
V-6?
With water pump too?
Coolant/radiator flush?

If they do it right and COMPLETE?
Sounds about right.

If it’s a four cylinder and they only replace the belt, then it’s about $600.

Q: I have replaced the gasket on my honda accord yesterday night but in morning I saw oil leaks on floor?
I have a 1998 honda accord 2.3L 4 door model with 60000 miles on it. I noticed an oil leak and changed the oil pan gasket in the car yesterday but today morning I saw some oil on the floor. Is it leaking again? If yes, what should I do?

A: The oil pan gasket may not have been leaking, or wasn’t the only leak. If the front seal, or rear main seal leak the oil runs down over the oil pan making it look like the pan gasket is leaking.

Clean everything up with a good degreaser and recheck for leaks. Leaks that start higher up on the engine can be difficult to track down, but some patience usually pays off.

Q: How do you change a fuel filter on a 1997 Honda Accord?
I have a four-cylinder Honda Accord that needs a new fuel filter. I have the fuel filter, and have been told that it’s fairly easy, but I can’t find the fuel line under the car. Does anyone know of a website to show me how, or can someone walk me through? Thanks!

A: i blieve you filter is located either under the air filter box or on the firewall near the passenger middle of the engine comartment.

Q: How would i make a regular v6 honda accord supercharged?
i have a honda accord with a v6 engine. but i want to make it supercharged. is there anyway i could convert the engine into a turbo? or supercharged? if so, how, and what would it need.
i want to know the best turbo kit i can install to make it a faster car. and any other things i should add to it.

A: a supercharger & a turbo are both forced induction systems – and create large increases in hp by forcing quantities of air into the intake system of a properly prepared car.
the quantity of air delivered is measured in p.s.i. and is commonly referred to as boost.
when installed at the same level of boost a supercharger & a turbo will provide the same increase in power.
a turbo is a turbine that is driven off of the engine’s exhaust gas.
a supercharger is driven by a system of pulleys by the engine.

while a turbo is more efficient in low to mild boost installations a supercharger is preferable, because its lighter, easier to install , usually cheaper (certainly labor costs are much lower), runs cooler & delivers power earlier & in a more linear fashion than a turbo. a supercharger is easier to upgrade to higher levels of boost.

-in either case to prepare a car you require:
cold air intake & throttle body spacer
performance exhaust, catbacks
performance headers
re tune of the engine’s management system by a performance shop (pro-tune)

these modifications will allow you to run a mild boost installation, of about 5lbs – which will increase your hp over stock by approx.35%

because these forced induction systems create high heat-engine stress to go beyond a mild boost & to prevent chance of engine failure, you are advised to further build out your engine:
-bottom end, forged pistons/rods
-performance heads

http://www.modacar.com/products/Honda/Accord/DG3TK/Turbo+Kit+-+Drag+Generati.html

all in – if you are depending on shop labor for the installation, a forced induction system will cost in the range of plus$5000, the other necessary modifications (intake, headers, exhaust_probably $1500-2000.
if you want to build out the engine to run higher levels of boost-serious money.

increased power is not cheap and especially if you depend on shop labor for the installations …..unless you can do the wrenching yourself, often it is cheaper to buy power on the hoof – lots of modified cars around, rather than modifying your existing car.

Q: what kinda of audio system should i get in my honda accord?
I am getting a 2009 honda accord and wanna take it to a audio place to get a system. I am hoping to get something that bumps real hard, but i wanna keep te quality, so please just suggest what I should get. Thanks!

A: You could go with the DEH-P5100UB receiver from pioneer, I used one in my Saturn and they have great sound quality with enough settings on the equalizer to give you the sound you want. As for a little bump I would suggest using a 500-1000 watt amplifier (depending on how much bump you are looking for) and running a 10 inch sub-woofer in an enclosed case (make sure that your amplifier is bridgeable if your only using one sub). Otherwise a two channel amp running 1000 watts will power two 15’s and give you more than enough kick.
Hope you find this useful

Q: How to tell if the airbag of Honda accord has been deployed?
Hi,
I want to buy a honda accord 1995. It was in an accident. How can you tell if the airbag has been replaced and still working?

A: More than likely you wont. Airbag control modules are replaced when an airbag is deployed because the manufacturer does not want to take the chance that the arming sensors inside of it are not broken. If the airbag light comes on and stays on, then the system is not working.

Q: What do i need to lower my honda accord?
I have a 96 honda accord ex 4-door and i want to lower it. What parts will i need and should i get new shocks and camber kits?
