Are you looking for a 2010 Nissan Altima Sedan?
Q: Can anyone give me the description of the 2008 nissan altima dark slate color vs the precision gray?
I am planning on buying a 2008 nissan altima sedan but I am torn between the dark slate and precision gray. Can anyone give me a description or post a photo for me.?
A: The slate is a darker gray than the precision gray. I personally like the precision better. I was torn myself between that and the white, but I went with white. Good luck with your new car, you’ll be very happy with it.

Q: Is a 1993 Nissan Altima a good first car for a 17 years high school senior?
I will going off to college soon. Really won’t be driving it that much. I don’t have muchmoney that’s why I’m looking into older cars. I have saw reviews that say that Nissan Altima last a long time if they are well took care of.

Q: What is the best sub and audio system you recomended for a nissan altima 2002?
I just got a nissan altima 2002 and i want to install an audio system,a sub, and speaker that i could blast my music?
What is you guys best advices for me?
A: http://spkrbox1.spaces.msn.com/Default.aspx for real “sound” advice.
Your system won’t mean squat without a well designed box to put your subs in. Some manufacturers have recommendations as to dimensions of various types of boxes. It is best to find someone who builds boxes if you go with something other than a sealed box.
You should always match up RMS (Root Mean Square) watts of Subs and amp per channel as well as impedance’s(resistances).
If your amp is rated at 4Ω don’t subject it to 2Ω, it will fry.
Here is the formula for subs in parallel:
Z = 1 / (1/sub1 + 1/sub2 + 1/sub3 + ….)
For series, just add them up (sub1 + sub2 + …).
You can mix and match these equations to get the right impedance required by your amp.
Example: 4 subs @ 4Ω each. If I connect two in parallel and the other two in parallel and tie the two pairs in series, I would have a total impedance(resistance) of 4Ω. So to the amp, it’s just one sub.
You should use a capacitor as well.
Recommend for every 500 watts MAX you use a .5 Farad cap
Example: 1000 watts MAX – 1 Farad cap
Try http://www.soundomain.com/shop you can find some really good deals, and this site is manufacturer certified. VERY IMPORTANT WHEN SHOPPING ON-LINE!!!
You will also need what’s called a “line level converter” if your stock head unit doesn’t have RCA outputs or your amp doesn’t have high-level inputs.
If you like I can send you some plans for reference. My plans are for a 4-th order band pass bass box that holds two 12’s. Also included are java calculators you can use to figure parallel and series values given Ω values.
Just e-mail me sparky3489@yahoo.com
My system
Blaupunkt TSw1200 subs with a Sony Xplōd XM2200GTX.
My amp is 1200 watts, subs are 600 watts each, cap is 1.2 Farad
SPL is about 112 db
Total cost(so far) = $410
Q: How to remove the speaker grills of a 2005 nissan altima?
I am trying to remove the grills from the speakers of my 2005 nissan altima without the bose system. I took off the speakers from the bottom. The grills are very difficult to remove. Q: What should I do to my Nissan Altima for performance?
I drive an ‘05 Nissan Altima and I would like to get a little more power out of it. Any suggestions under $1000 would be appreciated
I am into racing and I am only a half second short of a GT Mustang in the quarter mile.
A: fine car, I assume if you are that tight to the mustang you are running the v-6. You have very good performance options.
You can read generally see an overview on improving your car here:
http://www.sfxperformance.com/project_altima.asp
A general modification program involves cold air intake, performance headers, performance exhaust system and headers . This program will not impact on your engine negatively, or effect dependability. Once completed it will increase your power over stock by approximately 25% and make your car noticeably faster, more enjoyable to drive.
example exhaust system or there is a greddy duals installation for your car as well
http://www.gripmotorsports.com/pi~pn~borla_exhaust-5613.html
cold air intakes, example
http://www.advancespeedshop.com/nissan-altima-c-21_22_98_293.html
headers, see the above link to sfx performance.
-recommend you install CAI (intake) and perfromance exhaust-catbacks, and then when budget permits headers.
the headers actually will provide biggest gains to both HP & torque, but require better intake up front, and performance-flow through exhaust behind them to be most effective.
after the final installation have a nissan perf. shop run a pro tune on your car-this will re-tune the car to fully utilize your performance modifications, and effectively you may may exceed a HP gain over stock of 25%.
you can do much more if you want (turbo or nitrous kit small shot)

Q: How do you take out a Nissan Altima Radio?
I have a 2005 Nissan Altima and want to put a radio signal booster in the antenna line. My problem is how do I get to the back of the unit?
A: I would go to Best Buy or the dealer and ask them to do it for you that way you won’t screw it up.
Q: How long does a Nissan Altima last?

I am looking into buying a used 2003 Manual Nissan Altima and I was wondering how many miles this car can handle. It already has 100,000 miles on it. Is that too much for this car?? Can it handle more?
Anyone have good or bad experiences, please let me know that too! Thank you!
A: I HAVE SEEN THEM WITH 250,000-300,000 MILES ON THEM
Q: Why does my 1993 Nissan Altima speedometer goes back and forth?
I have a 1993 Nissan Altima. When I start the vehicle, the speedometer starts slowly going up, even while I am still in park position. Even at drive, it still goes up slowly. After hitting 100-120 mph mark, it then slowly goes back down again, no matter if I am in park, reverse, or drive. But it does not slowly goes back to 0 mark. It went back to 40 mph mark, and goes back up again. Strange?! Any help is appreciated.
A: First year production Altima. Many times the electronic spedometer starts to fail and will cost almost $250. If you haven’t estimated speed in drive to tachometer RPMS do so. Speed sensor#2 (instrument cluster) may also set a check engine light because the transmission uses speed sensor signal. Nissan has a large selection of new Altimas come into the next Century!
Q: I have a 08 nissan altima would i have to get a new stero in order to put subs, and a amp or can i use stock?
I have a 08 nissan altima 4 door 2.5S would i have to get a new stereo in order to put subs, and a amp or can i use stock stereo and plug my subs and amps in there?
A: yes you can, and depending how demaning you are and what you want to spend. You can do the inline converter by splicing into the speaker wires to run a RCA Signal to, or if you want the best from the factory head unit, i would suggest a JL Cleansweep. There are pricy but allow for all aftermarket hookups including MP3 players without having to put in aftermarket radio, and produce a flat signal for RCA outputs to run subs.

Q: Why does my 1997 nissan altima make a squealing noise?
I own a 1997 nissan altima with over 100k miles. A loud squealing noise comes from the front wheels. It is especially loud at slow speeds and barely noticable at higher speeds. I don’t think it’s the rotors because it makes the noise when I’m not applying the breaks at all.
The car is parked for extended periods of time (two to four months) while I am away at school.
What could be causing this noise?
A: Front Wheel bearings or the Constant velocity joints on the front drive shafts. Those are the most likely, but without actually seeing it or hearing the noise for myself its very hard to diagnose. If it is the wheel bearing you should get them checked out as soon as, you don’t want to be overtaken by your wheel on the motor way!
Q: How many air filters does a 2000 Nissan Altima SE have?
How many air filters does a 2000 Nissan Altima SE have? And does replacing them all make big difference in gas saving?
It’s automatic 2.4 engine and I get 22-25 on the highway at an average speed of 80. Is this normal? How can I get better gas mileage for this car? Other than driving at low speed because it doesn’t work for me to drive 100 miles each way and work 12 hours. Thanks!
A: Just one air filter. As they say YMMV (your milage may vary) but you are on the low side of normal. Might I suggest you replace your air filter and have your induction system cleaned by a professional.
Q: What system is malfunctioning on my 1995 Nissan Altima with a trouble code of 0706?
When I check the OBD on my 1995 Nissan Altima, I get 7 long flashes followed by 6 short flashes. My Haynes book does not have this code listed. What does this code mean?
A: 76 indicates lean operation 76= P0170 We at nissan have several ways to find out if it is the front O2 sensor or the air leak at the intake manifold. You can try spraying carburator cleaner the flamable type arounf the intake gasket and listen for engine speed to change. BUT be careful if you have old broken down plug wires this is a good way to set fire to your car. I am willing to bet your #4 and #3 Cly has developed a intake gasket leak. Not an easy repair because the intake bolts and nuts are hard to remove.
Q: How long does it take to repair nissan altima 2002, oil leaks that costs 2000 dollars to repair?
it’s nissan altima 2002.
they say it will cost 2000 dollars to fix and oil leaks everywhere.
A: 2000 dollars to fix oil leaks? Unless they are pulling your transmission off to replace the main seal too, I really think you need a second opinion on that one. Take it to another shop use yelp. com and find a reputable shop to look at your car.
