A: Putting regular unleaded hurts the combustion chamber of a engine that requires premium. The fuel combustion temp is set by the octane rating. I think you should use premium only

i hit the mirror against the side of the garage and now the mirror is popped out so it wont rotate when the button inside the car is pushed. its a acura mdx, a nice car, but how much would that cost. it shouldn’t be to much.. right?
A: Did the actual mirror break? Try taking it over to a local shop and ask how much they charge to do that, it shouldn’t be much… try doing it yourself.

I go to Cape Cod and cars are allowed on certain beaches there. I know four wheel drives like a Jeep and Explorer have no problem but will the Acura MDX cut it too?
A: Is it capable? Yes, without a problem. I’ve driven several Subarus and other symmetrical AWD vehicles on the beach without a problem. I’ve seen MDXs there as well. Check with the rules and regulations if they are allowed though.
Q: Did the Acura MDX come with the option for both the DVD and Navigation?
I am looking to buy a used MDX. I can’t seem to find one that has both navigation and factory DVD. I have been looking at the 2005 and 2006 models. Anyone have any info? I know they started offering the technology package, but that wasn’t until later (2007?) Thanks!
A: Actually, there was an option for both. I believe it’s called the MDX Touring package w/ Navigation. You might have a hard time finding one if they are “rare”… and if no one’s selling one. In ‘07, the MDX offered the tech (sport) / entertainment (Navi/DVD) package.
Q: Is it possible to get an Acura MDX at the invoice price?
My last car was a Honda Accord, which I was able to get at invoice price after much negotiating.
I know that an Acura would fall into a different brand category (it would be a step up from a Honda or a Toyota, etc). Will negotiating with an Acura dealer get me anywhere? I really want to get it at invoice!
A: For new cars, the best way to get the best price is to offer a commitment to purchase. You don’t need anything fancy or try any stupid tactics. If its the car you want, and you are ready to buy, then say “I will buy it now if you sell it at invoice” if they say no and you feel you should only pay invoice, then leave and go to the next dealership.
The other thing you can do is email the sales department and tell them you will come in and buy now if they sell it at invoice.
Q: I decided to purchase a 04 Acura MDX over an 03 ML 350 was it a good decision?
I test drove both cars, and liked them both, but I was thinking more of long term, and which would give a better trade in about 3 years. Since the ML body style changed drastically I didn’t feel an 03 would be worth anything in about 3 years. It had 60K miles, and the MDX 52K.

Both have the same bolt pattern (5×114.3). The wheels from Acura are 17×6.5/45offset, my current wheels on my Honda are 15×6.5/38offset.
A: The different offset will kill the wheel bearings.

we have the highlander, but i heard acura has great deals for the mdx’s.

The Acura MDX is the same car as the Honda Pilot.
The Acura is much more luxurious, has a smoother ride, is a lot more powerful and faster, handles much better, and comes with a lot more technology than the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander.

A: It really depends on where you live.
Say you live in Hawaii where there is one Acura dealership, they can be going OVER MSRP.
But say you live in Southern California where there are hundreds of Acura dealerships they go for about $500 over invoice.

I know it happens when I hold it down. I just don’t want it to do it at all. Can I program it to not do it at all?
A: Pushing the unlock button once unlocks the driver’s door, twice unlocks all doors, and continuing to push it rolls the windows down. To prevent it from happening, just don’t hold the button.
edit: There is no simple way to disable the function.
Q: Help with the Acura MDX Problem that Navigation system doesn’t work when i was changing dissconect battery?
I was just disconected the batery for a repair now my radio, navigation and dvd player need a code help.. The car did not come with a manual and there is no stick or card it is the dvd and navagation system also.
A: Did you buy your MDX used? It should have came with a card that had both the radio and NAVI codes. You will have to call your local Acura or Honda dealer, give them your VIN and they will be able to tell you them. Be sure to write them down, then sign up for My Acura http://owners.acura.com/ and you can enter the codes in there, so they will never be lost.
Q: What are good after market modifications for 2005 acura mdx?
Please let me know if you have any suggestions or websites to help .. I do want to put the navigation/ stereo from touring model but im not sure if it will fit in my base model
A: i think the only thing they do to the touring model is make the faceplate where the stero goes is make it bigger. i think it will fit if your get that faceplate.i no theres no performance parts maybe a diff intake but thats bout all and ive seen a few black mdx’s with diff rims that look ok
