Q: For my first car should I buy an Acura TL with like 100k on it or should I go with a Mazda 6 with like 60k?
The Acura TL i heard last very long but the Mazda 6 i heard does not last very long and I heard they are not good to get used? Basically I need a choice betweeen 2000 Acura 3.2TL with 100k miles, 2003 Mazda 6 with 70k miles, 2002 Jetta with 80k miles?

Q: Where can I find decent rims for my 2003 Acura TL?

A: As a fellow Chicagoan, I’d say don’t replace your rims right now, because all the potholes would ruin them (wait until they patch the majority of them up). They have cheap rims that are made in China to very expensive rims that are made in Germany, Italy, U.S., Japan, etc. Depending on what style, brand and size rims you get they can range from, $600-3000. You have to get new tires if you plus size your rims, from your current 17″. The tires can vary greatly in prices, with the brands/ types (i.e. summer, high performance, etc.) I bought 18″ rims and tires for my ‘03 Accord at http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/home.do, and I think I made a good choice. I’d say that an average price for rims and tires of good quality would be around $1500. I highly suggest you take your rims off for winter (I do this), so you extend the life of the rims. Is there a sample of a layout picutre, or a template which show underneath the hood of the ACURA TL car. It is a P0401 code. Can someone provide me with some tips. I greatly appreciate it.
A: they are always under the hood on the intake manifold near fire wall will have one vacuum line going to it and is looks kind of like a mushroom round and if motor has been run it is very hot so be careful

I got an Acura 2003 TL Type S for my first car. It has 136k miles on it though. And a new transmission been placed in a week ago.
So how many more miles do you think it will last?

A: Anywhere from 300-1200 depending on how experienced and honest the shop is that’s doing the repair, as well as the quality of the parts and what parts are changed when doing the job. You should have the shop check and or replace the drive belts, waterpump, tensioner, idler and any seals if their leaking while they change the timing belt. Good luck and hope this helps.

Q: How to program remote for 2000 Acura TL?
I just purchased two used remotes for my 2000 Acura TL but they didn’t come with instructions.
Can anyone tell me the steps to program them?
A: i programed a 1999 cl, i think it could be the same process. I put the key in the ignition, turned it to the “on” position, hit the lock button on the remote, and then turn it back off. repeat this prosess two more times. i know when the locks cycle through, (they will unlock and re-lock) hit the lock button again. It worked for me, i’m not sure about for you. sorry if this didn’t work. Let me know if this worked, i’ll look for the instructions from my programming if it doesn’t.

In general how much more is it to fix an Acura? Hondas and Acuras are very similar so I was wondering if it is substantially more to fix a honda. Say the brakes go out or the alternator am I looking at a much bigger bill with the TL over the Accord?
A: A lot of a electrical parts, map sensor, oxygen sensor and so on can cost 2 to 3 times as more than a Honda.

I’m moving to the state to start my job as a cop but I need a car thats good on the interstate to and from work. I like the Acura TL so I want to know which one to go for if I’m making sense. Help will be much appreciated.
A: buy a 2004 acura tsx….slightly smaller then the tl but gets wayyyy better gas mileage…its fast too…you can pick one up for about 18k with low miles….my uncle has a 04 TL and I have a 3.2 CL Type-S and we both burn through gas, even with light driving….the tsx has a 2.4 vtec with PLENTY of gusto

Q: How do i enter a car radio code on an Acura tl 02?
Does anybody know how to enter the radio code on an acura tl 02? i have the radio code 21313(provided by the dealer) but it does not work. maybe because i have the worng code or could it be that i am not entering it right? thank you for your help…..
A: When you turn on the radio if it says code the you need to press the station presets.according to you code. If you tried to enter the code too many times and it says error, then you need to disconnect the battery and let it sit for about 10-20 minutes fot the radio to clear and then reconnect the battery, If it still says error the try dixconnecting the battry for a longer eriod of time. When the radio says code try again. If that still fails you may have to visit your dealer to have him look into the problem
