Today i purchased a running ford f 150 modified for only 350 dollars. it sounds like a beast, but i dont know that much about it. it has a 351 v8 engine but has 400 heads on it and appears to have come from the factory like that. i wanted to know the horsepower and torque ratings for this truck, and any additional information like mpg, etc.

Alright, I need to replace the window in my 1994 Ford F-150 and I don’t know how to putin a new window. I took the old out by breaking it(since it was already cracked). Any info leading to this fix will be appreciated. Thanks
A: Remove the window crank handle by taking the clip off the back of it. Unscrew the interior panel on the door and pull it off.
Remove the rest of the broken glass.
Slide the glass into the top of the holder inside the door. Operate the crank a few times to be sure the window isn’t hitting anything.
Replace the interior panel and the window crank.

I have 2006 ford f-150 xlt. I need to adjust my headlights after an accident. How do I adjust the lights so they don’t shine in oncomming taffic.
A: the only 100% right way to do it is to bring it to a shop….there is special aligning equipment for newer vehicles….my advice is to pull up to a wall or garage door about 10 feet away and do it yourself….there are two adjusting screws on each headlight (1 for vertical and 1 for horizontal)…find those and adjust then untill they are level and keep in mind that you want them to point up the road and not down at the ground…after this back up another 10 feet and be sure they are pointing high enough….good luck!

A: Its great that you are changing your own oil,… I have always had great service from valvoline products. My dad really likes havoline. In an older engine, and with summer coming you could use 20w-50 in it. (I used it in a ‘91 F-150 with 250,000 miles) Don’t use anything below 10w-40. Whatever you do don’t put pennzoil or quaker state in it…. in engines of that age they tend to produce massive amounts of sludge. Your 302 takes 5 quarts of oil and a motorcraft FL1-A filter. In wix its a 51515.
Don’t forget to properly dispose of the old oil and filter by taking it to wal-mart auto or your local quick lube…even autozone takes it. its the responsible thing to do, and hey its not like they can say no.

A: Fords are notorious for problems originating in the Ignition control module. I recommend you take it off and have it checked. I’d almost put money on that being the problem.
Q: Anyone know anything about removing a gas tank from a ford f 150?
I have a 1995 Ford F 150 and the back tank pump is bad and the tank is rusted out so I am going to just remove all of it. Put a hose between the sending and recieving gas lines and just use the front. Will it run right like that or does it need both pumps ? I can’t see why as long as its switched to the front tank that it shouldn’t matter. Thank you with any advice.
A: you are correct and these days with the cost of fuel, 1 tank is nice.you can do it, ive done it on a farm vehicle that would pump the rear tank to the front.instead of buying a new switching manifold,i just bypassed the manifold.this vehicle’s primary fuel was propane.gasoline was used for cold starts etc.

Long story short, the Florida heat didn’t help as the dashboard and door panels cracked under the extreme heat. Looking for an aftermarket company that sells new replacement parts for early model F-150’s.
A: just go to lmc truck parts. thats where i got my dash cover and seats. Their prices arent too bad. Another option is ebay or craigslist.

Q: what would make the battery light stay on inside the dash board of a 97 ford f-150?
My 1997 ford f-150 just had the motor completly rebuilt and it seems to run great but the battery light inside the dash stays on constantly the needle of the gauge shows its charging good and the battery seems to hold a charge. I dont have any problems starting the truck.
A: Buddy of mine had this same problem. If I remember right we changed the alternator, but that wasn’t it. I think there is some kind of solenoid between the battery and the alternator that made the light come on

A: sounds like the throw out bearing is acting up, But first I would ensure that the trans fluid is at the proper level.
